Building stuff is hard. It’s far more helpful and virtuous to think about how something could work, rather than point out how something currently sucks. Let’s encourage and support builders.
New members to the community will understand what is expected of them by what they see others doing. Even though you may already have many friends in the HN community, make sure you are curious about what new members can contribute, and please take a moment to welcome people who take the time to post in #introductions.
Not all of us will agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse for poor behavior and poor manners.
Like anything, you get out what you put in. Share interesting articles, thoughts, your services, perspectives, and feel free to comment on what others are sharing.
We are a community of professionals, and we conduct ourselves professionally. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other participants. Harassment and other exclusionary behavior aren't acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:
